PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a probe capable of highly efficiently photographing an imaging object part by improving visibility of the imaging object part of a subject when photographing the subject.SOLUTION: A diagnostic probe unit 30 is used for an optical interference tomography image generation device 1 that partitions laser light applied from a light source 11 into measurement light to be applied to a sample S and reference light to be applied to a reference mirror 21, analyzes interference light obtained by combining scattered light reflected and returned from the sample S and reflection light reflected by the reference mirror 21 to generate an optical interference tomography image. The diagnostic probe unit 30 collects the scattered light that is reflected and returned from the sample S to which the measurement light has been applied. The diagnostic probe unit 30 includes a housing 3 in which an optical path is provided, and a support body 4 that is extended from the vicinity of an opening part 3g for collecting the scattered light, towards a direction of the subject and brought into contact with the subject S.
