PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article effective for preventing dirt of clothes and bedding due to leakage of excrement outside the absorbent article.
SOLUTION: The absorbent article 1 includes an absorber 22, a top sheet 18 a part of which is made of a liquid permeable material at least and which covers an upper surface of the absorber 22, a back sheet 20 which is made of a liquid nonpermeable material and covers a lower surface of the absorber 22, and a dirt prevention sheet 14 placed in a state where it is folded on a lower surface side of the back sheet 20. In the dirt prevention sheet 14, at least one side edge is a free end 16 and the free end 16 is drawn outside from at least a part of respective side edges of the back sheet 20, so that the dirt prevention sheet 14 is unfolded in the outside region of the respective side edges of the back sheet 20.
