PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which is compactly structured so that a flap is not largely projected from the side edge of an absorber to the outer side, and is easily manufacturable by utilizing existing equipment.
SOLUTION: The absorbent article 1A includes an absorber 22, a top sheet 18 which is at least partially composed of a liquid-permeable material and covers the surface of the absorber 22, and a back sheet 20 which is composed of a liquid-impermeable material and covers the back surface of the absorber 22. The flaps 50 and 52 for which a front sheet 58 disposed on the surface side of the absorber 22 and a back sheet 60 disposed on the back surface side of the absorber 22 are stuck with each other are formed so as to surround the absorber 22, the side edge flap 50 of the flaps 50 and 52, which is positioned on the outer side in the width direction from the side edge 56 of the absorber 22, is folded over to the side of the front sheet 58 or to the side of the back sheet 60 on the outer side in the width direction from the side edge 56 of the absorber 22 to form a folded part 54, and the folded part 54 is fixed to the surface of the front sheet 58 or the surface of the back sheet 60.
