An apparatus (50) of radio frequency (RF) shimming, comprising:Module (30) spatial sensitivity that determines the spatial distribution of the sensitivity of the transmission to at least one radio frequency coil (18,18 )module (32) selector which selects excitation model with a trajectory in k-space fieldModule (34) optimization, which can bend in the k-space excitations selected model excitation according to the generated spatial distribution of sensitivity, and provides a curved trajectory in k-space excitations in a gradient system (16) via a controller (22) of the gradient and radio frequency pulses in, at least one transmitter (24) which urges the at least one radio frequency transmit coil (18,18 ) transmitting the selected excitation model with a curved trajectory in k-space excitations.2. The apparatus (50) of radio frequency shimming of claim 1, wherein the trajectory in k-space to optimize the excitation includes at least one selective dimensional slices along the spoke.3.
