PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism for easily displaying an oblique cross-section with an intuitive operation in a display device of a tomographic image.SOLUTION: An image display system for displaying a cross-sectional image of an object comprises: storage means for storing a cross-sectional image group comprising a plurality of continuous cross-sectional images formation means for forming an oblique cross-sectional image which is an image of an oblique cross-section having an angle different from a cross-section corresponding to the cross-sectional image of the object display means for displaying the oblique cross-sectional image on a display part display part inclination information detection means for detecting display part inclination information showing an inclination of the surface of the display part and display instruction receive means for receiving an instruction to display the oblique cross-sectional image.
