The invention relates to an oral care device for teeth whitening or other purpose. The device is designed to provide a uniform light intensity distribution at the teeth. This is achieved by use of a light guide which at some surface parts is separated from surrounding parts of the mouthpiece of the oral care device by air-filled separation portions. The light guide mixes the injected light to improve the uniformity of the light intensity. In 5 order to couple light out from the light guide, the mouthpiece comprises an out-coupling structure located opposite to the buccal side of the teeth. The out-coupling structure may be shaped, e.g. by changing the area or density of parts of the out-coupling structure depending on the distance to a location of the light guide where light is injected.L'invention concerne un dispositif de soins buccaux pour le blanchiment des dents ou pour d'autres fins. Le dispositif est conçu pour fournir une distribution d'intensité lumineuse uniforme au niveau des dents. Ceci est obtenu par l'utilisation d'un guide de lumière qui, au niveau de certaines parties de surface, est séparé des parties environnantes de l'embout buccal du dispositif de soins buccaux par des parties de séparation remplies d'air. Le guide de lumière mélange la lumière injectée pour améliorer l'uniformité de l'intensité lumineuse. Afin de coupler la lumière hors du guide de lumière, l'embout buccal comprend une structure de couplage en sortie située à l'opposé du côté buccal des dents. La structure de couplage en sortie peut être mise en forme, par exemple en modifiant la surface ou la densité de parties de la structure de couplage en sortie en fonction de la distance à un emplacement du guide de lumière où la lumière est injectée.
