The invention relates to a continuous band for the production of bags for fruit and vegetable products and similar products. The continuous band is formed by a continuous plastic sheet on which rectangular plastic plates are aligned longitudinally in each of the sectors of the sheet corresponding to the bags to be produced. The rectangular plastic plates are positioned such that, once the corresponding heat-seals have been formed, said plates are on opposing sides of the formed bag which adopts the form of a box or basket once it has been filled with the products to be packed. The continuous band includes corresponding die-cut windows closed by fragments of net that are heat-sealed to the continuous plastic sheet.
