The present invention relates to a method for modulating phagocytic uptake of a water-insoluble active ingredient or a water-insoluble precursor thereof, by macrophages, involving the use of nanoparticles of the active ingredient or of the precursor thereof coated with at least one bile acid or a salt thereof, in order to selectively direct said active ingredient, once it is in circulation, towards the target site of interest. The invention further relates to the use of said nanoparticles in the treatment or diagnosis of a disease affecting the macrophages or of a solid tumor.La présente invention concerne un procédé de modulation de labsorption phagocytaire dun ingrédient actif insoluble dans leau ou dun précurseur insoluble dans leau de celui-ci, par des macrophages, impliquant lutilisation de nanoparticules de lingrédient actif ou du précurseur de celui-ci revêtu dau moins un acide biliaire ou dun sel de celui-ci, afin de diriger sélectivement ledit ingrédient actif, une fois quil est en circulation, vers le site cible dintérêt. Linvention concerne en outre lutilisation desdites nanoparticules dans le traitement ou le diagnostic dune maladie affectant les macrophages ou dune tumeur solide.
