PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ligature device that is able to re-position the grasp thereof on somatic tissue by configuring the arms of the clip body, which, of the plurality of clip units disposed in series in a sheath, is at the leading end of the sheath, to open and close freely, and that is also able to ligate somatic tissue continuously with a plurality of clip bodies without generating fracture pieces and to provide a clip unit used therein.SOLUTION: The clip unit 13 includes a clip body 35 having a pair of arms 41 capable of ligating somatic tissue, and a squeezing ring 37 that accommodates the clip body 35. A plurality of clip units are disposed in series inside the distal end of an outer sheath component 19. The squeezing ring 37 is provided with a connecting mechanism 85 configured from a locking piece 87 and engagement receiving part 101, which connects adjacent squeezing rings 37 to each other.
