Telerehabilitation is a new field of rehabilitation that has emerged in recent years. Combining medicine and engineering, telerehabilitation provides an alternative method of rehabilitation therapy in areas lacking medical resources, and an easy way to resolve the inconvenience for the disabled patients to seek rehabilitation service. This finding developed a newly designed device by employing inertial measurement units (IMU) and an ankle foot orthosis (AFO) named AFO-IMU module to determine the feasibility in clinical usage. It is hoped that the use of simple and reliable device will provide as new approach to facilitate IMU as the sensors in telerehabilitation research. The finding indicate that the use of IMU, together with AFO and proper program, can constitute a new telerehabilitation system to correctly assess knee joint activity and track knee joint rehabilitation progress.遠距復健為近年來全新的復健領域,藉由醫療與工程的結合,對於醫療資源不發達的地方或者因為病患失能造成的就醫不便,提供全新的復健治療方式。本發明針對腳踝關節處,利用微機電之慣性感測器開發一微型遠距復健裝置,並設計出一遠距復健整合之系統去量測觀察復健之相關成效以及遠距復健之可行性,其包含將該慣性感測器固定於復健者足踝外側,慣性感測器將復健者為執行復健動作之波動數據讀取收集後,藉由程式的判定評估復健者之復健情形,可有效評估膝關節復健動作之狀況。
