PURPOSE: An asiasarum sieboldi extract having antibacterial activity, and an antibacterial composition containing thereof are provided to dip asiasarum sieboldi powder in methanol for extracting and filtering.CONSTITUTION: An asiasarum sieboldi extract having antibacterial activity is obtained by the following steps: mixing methanol with asiasarum sieboldi as an extraction solvent filtering and removing the solvent from the asiasarum sieboldi methanol extract decompress concentrating the asiasarum sieboldi methanol extract freeze-drying the concentrated asiasarum sieboldi methanol extract, and dissolving in distilled water adding organic acid selected from n-hexane, chloroform, ethyl acetate, or n-butanol to the dissolved asiasarum sieboldi extract, and stirring settling the mixture until a distilled layer and an organic solvent layer are separated and collecting the organic solvent layer from the asiasarum sieboldi extract.COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012본 발명은 항균 활성을 갖는 세신 추출물 및 이를 포함하는 항균 조성물에 관한 것이다. 세신의 메탄올 추출물과 클로로포름 분획물이 Staph. aureus와 B. cereus에 강한 항균활성을 보였으며, 특히 항생제 내성균인 MRSA에 대해 항균활성을 보였으며, B. cereus에 대해서 암피실린보다 더 높은 항균활성을 나타냈다.
