The invention relates to a method for determining the tritium concentration in the air, as tritiated water vapours, in the working spaces within a nuclear plant. According to the invention, the method consists in directly measuring the water retained from the sample on a hygroscopic material deposited onto the surface of the frustoconical cover of a polyethylene flask of 20 ml, for metering with liquid scintillators, the concentration in water being related to the water vapour concentration in the air.
