PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an incubator in which operation for tilting a lying bed base can be performed from any side of left and right treatment doors, the inside of a baby housing chamber can be easily cleaned and disinfected, and which therefore can improve work efficiency.SOLUTION: An arm 42 of a tilting mechanism 41 is connected to one end of a spindle 55 along a direction orthogonal to the axial direction of a rotary shaft 53, and the other end of the spindle 55 is extended to the outside of a baby housing chamber 7 and connected with a drive unit 43. The drive unit 43 includes a feed screw shaft 44 along a direction orthogonal to the spindle 55, a rack gear 45 engaged with the feed screw shaft 44 and moved in the axial direction thereof, and a pinion gear 46 meshed with the rack gear 45.
