PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound that is useful as a near-infrared fluorescence probe.SOLUTION: According to the present invention, there is a compound useful as a near-infrared fluorescence probe. The compound comprises (i) a pteroyl ligand that binds to a target receptor protein, (ii) a dye molecule, and (iii) a linker molecule that comprises an amino acid or derivative thereof. According to the present invention, furthermore, there is provided a method for imaging inflammatory disease using the compound.
