PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stop the storing operation for a foot/leg massage device upon application of any overload during the storing operation, in a chair-type massager having a seat part, a backrest part and the foot/leg massage device that is provided at a front part of the seat part, and stored under the seat part.SOLUTION: The chair-type massager 1 includes: the seat part 2 the backrest part 3 provided at the rear part of the seat part 2 the foot/leg massage device 5 installed at the front part of the seat part 2 an advancing/retreating mechanism 15 that advances the foot/leg massage device 5 to its use position and retreats it to its storing position and a driving source 35 to drive the advancing/retreating mechanism 15.
