PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gelling agent easy to produce, gelling various substances with a small amount of addition and low in load imparting to the environment and to provide a method for producing the same.
SOLUTION: The invention relates to the method for producing the gelling agent comprises mixing and gelling water with any one compound selected from a group comprising alkali metal salts of oleic acid, lauric acid, palmitic acid and stearic acid, and any one compound selected from a group comprising dimetal salt of glutamic acid N, N-diacetic acid, dimetal salt of N-2-hydroxyethylimino diacetic acid, tetra metal salt of L-aspartic acid-(N, N)-diacetic acid.
