PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a food material support bar, capable of enhancing appetite of eating during meal and maintaining the appetite since start of eating until finish of eating, even when a person has less appetite or a person eats only a little, and assisting eating all of a food product for supplying calories, nutrients, water content, electrolytes, and minerals.SOLUTION: Provided is a food material support bar 1 comprising a bar tip end 2a on one end of a longitudinal direction and a bar terminal 3a on the other end of the longitudinal direction. The food material support bar comprises: a support part 2 on the bar tip end 2a side to which a food material 5 is fixed and which is covered with the food material 5 and a grip part 3 on the bar terminal 3a side. The support part 2 comprises pieces of information 4a1-4a5 including a figure, a pattern, a symbol character, a mark, a symbol, a number and/or a character, as one or plural signs 4, from the bar tip end 2a side to the terminal 2b side of the support part.
