The present invention relates to a sterilization apparatus and method for sterilizing accessories. The sterilization apparatus uses a portable storage container to sterilize accessories, in which accessory items are placed in a placement unit provided in a storage room of the storage container, and then sterilized by UV light irradiated from a UV device, so that the items can be used or stored more hygienically.
