The present disclosure relates to a composition for skin whitening, which contains one or more of a gooseberry extract and glutathione as an active ingredient. In the composition, the gooseberry extract may be an extract of the fruit of gooseberry and the composition of the present disclosure may be a composition for skin whitening, which contains the gooseberry fruit extract and the glutathione as active ingredients.
