PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection apparatus and method that can detect the scraping amount of fibrous materials with high accuracy, in a fiber stacking working process of the fibrous materials in the manufacture of absorbers, and a manufacturing method of the absorbers using the inspection method.SOLUTION: An inspection apparatus 20 of a scraping amount is provided for use in the scraping of the fiber stacking excess caused by the fiber stacking of fibrous materials on an outer circumferential surface of a rotating drum in a manufacturing apparatus of absorbers. The inspection apparatus includes a detection unit 6 for detecting the amount of floating fibrous materials before the re-fiber stacking after having scraped the fiber stacking excess to a hood part 5 for defining an area so as to perform the scraping of the fiber stacking excess arranged on the outer circumferential surface of the rotating drum and the re-fiber stacking in the same space. Further, the inspection apparatus includes a control unit 7 for transmitting a signal to stop the operation of the manufacturing apparatus of the absorbers or transmitting the signal to increase and decrease a suction pressure from the outer circumferential surface of the rotating drum to the inside according to the amount of floating of the fibrous materials based on the detection value of the detection unit, when a decision is made that the amount of floating of the fibrous materials is equal to or higher than a fixed amount based on the detection value of the detection unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
