FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves cultivating tumor cell cultures obtained from tumor tissue explants placed in capillary space between slides. Sensitivity to chemical preparations is evaluated from culture growth area increment reduction degree under the influence of chemical preparations when compared to a control. Pieces of surgically removed tumors are to be placed into Eagle nutrient medium, mechanically crushed, stratified over standard slides with gelatin substratum and covered with identical slides. Then pieces of transparent film are spread over the surface of each slide pair and outlines of each explant are traced with technical pen making illumination from beneath. The pairs of slides with explants placed between them are set in vertical position into plastic cartridges (one in each cartridge) filled with the culturing medium and chemical preparations. Then the cartridges are set into thermostat unit at 37 C. After one day long cytostatic exposure the nutrient medium is changed and the ca
