PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate removal and recovery of soil near ground surface having high contamination concentration in the decontamination of radioactive contaminated ground.SOLUTION: The soil removing method uses a weeding, root-cutting and soil-loosening apparatus comprising a rotary cutter 1 to be thrust into the surface layer of soil and cut the root in the surface layer and loosen the soil, and a crawler-type vehicle 2. The apparatus is traveled on the contaminated soil while rotating the rotary cutter 1 in a manner to contact the lower end of the cutter with soil at a preset depth of the surface layer of the contaminated soil to cut the root and loosen the soil in the surface layer to the preset depth of the surface layer and, when weed is thickly grown on the ground, the weeding of the weed is also performed by the rotary cutter 1 simultaneously.COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT【課題】放射能で汚染された土地の除染に際し、汚染濃度の高い表面付近土壌の除去回収を容易にする。【解決手段】この方法では、土壌の表層に差し込み当該表層を当該表層内の根を切断するとともにほぐす形式の回転式カッター1とクローラ式の車両2とからなる草刈り・根切断・土壌ほぐし装置を用い、汚染土上で回転式カッター1をカッターの下端が汚染土の表層の所定の深さに接するように回転させながら走行して、当該表層を所定の深さまで当該表層内の根を切断するとともにほぐし、地上部に草が繁茂している場合は、その草の刈り取りも同時に前記回転式カッター1で行うようにした。【選択図】図1
