The present invention relates to a composition for preventing and treating hepatic diseases, comprising sulforaphane (SFN) as an active ingredient. It is confirmed that the sulforaphane (SFN): showed lower accumulation of fat, decreased the levels of TG, FFA, and TC in plasma and the activities of ALT and AST in plasma, and greatly reduced total visceral fat-pad, body weight (50%), weight gain (-47%), and food efficiency ratio (-34%), in experiments in preventive effects on HFD-induced hepatic steatosis specimens (experimental example 1)； and significantly increased the level of circulating adiponectin and mRNA expression of adiponectin, and stimulated expression of adipoR2 in liver tissue in experiments in effects on the expression of steatosis-related genes (experimental example 2), thereby being able to be effectively used as a composition and a health functional food for preventing and treating hepatic diseases.본 발명은 설포라판(sulforaphane, SFN) 을 유효성분으로 함유하는 간질환의 예방 및 치료용 조성물에 관한 것으로서, 상기 설포라판(sulforaphane, SFN) 은 HFD-유도 간 지방증에 대한 시료의 예방효과실험에서 보다 적은 지방 축적을 나타냈고, 혈장 TG, FFA, 및 TC 수준 및 혈장 ALT 및 AST 활성을 감소시켰으며, 총 내장 지방-패드(visceral fat-pad), 체중 (50%), 체중증가 (-47%), 및 식이효율비 (-34%) 면에서 유의적인 감소시켰으며(실험예 1), 지방증 관련 유전자 발현에 미치는 효과실험에서, 순환 아디포넥틴(adiponectin) 수준 및 아디포넥틴(adiponectin)의 mRNA 발현을 유의적으로 증가시키고, 간 조직에서 adipoR2의 발현을 자극함을 확인함으로서(실험예 2), 간질환의 예방 및 치료용 조성물 및 건강기능식품으로 유용하게 이용될 수 있다.
