According to an aspect, there is provided a method of monitoring a subject, the method comprising obtaining, from a sensor, a signal indicative of the movements of the subject over time； obtaining, from a sensor, a signal indicative of the heart rate of the subject over time； and processing the obtained signal indicative of the movements and the obtained signal indicative of the heart rate to identify a urination event of the subject as a time period where a level of movement by the subject is below a threshold and the heart rate decreases.Selon un aspect, la présente invention concerne un procédé de surveillance d'un sujet, le procédé comprenant l'obtention, à partir d'un capteur, d'un signal indicateur des mouvements du sujet au cours du temps ； l'obtention, à partir d'un capteur, d'un signal indicateur de la fréquence cardiaque du sujet au cours du temps ； et le traitement du signal obtenu indicateur des mouvements et le signal obtenu indicateur de la fréquence cardiaque afin d'identifier un événement de miction du sujet comme période de temps pendant laquelle un niveau de mouvement par le sujet est au-dessous d'un seuil et la fréquence cardiaque diminue.
