According to an aspect, there is provided a method of monitoring a subject, the method comprising obtaining, from a sensor, a signal indicative of the movements of the subject over time； obtaining, from a sensor, a signal indicative of the heart rate of the subject over time； and processing the obtained signal indicative of the movements and the obtained signal indicative of the heart rate to identify a urination event of the subject as a time period where a level of movement by the subject is below a threshold and the heart rate decreases.
