The present invention discloses an orthodontic arch wire having a variable cross sectional structure. In the orthodontic arch wire according to the present invention, a rectangular cross section is maintained throughout the entire section, but vertical and/or horizontal length of a section between at least one or more bracket slot engagement parts and a bracket are different. The orthodontic arch wire has an anterior tooth part section disposed in the center and a pair of posterior tooth part section provided in left and right of the anterior tooth part section. The anterior tooth part section has one or more anterior tooth part wire protruding pieces formed in the bracket slot engagement part to protrude in a tongue side direction.
