A combination (10) is provided comprising: a three over and one under or four over and one under weave fabric (12)； and a machine knit fabric (14) included in a garment, the weave fabric comprising a surface having a long vector (30), the machine knit fabric having a first vector (20) and a second vector (22), wherein orientation of the long vector relative to the first or second vector at a vector angle of about 45 degrees to about 135 degrees results in low friction between the fabrics associated with movement in all directions, and parallel orientation results in high friction between the fabrics associated with movement in either the lateral or longitudinal direction, but not both.
