PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an error margin between the actual number of body motions and the counted number of body motions.SOLUTION: Body motions are detected in body motion detection periods set at predetermined intervals, and the body motions are counted upon continuous detection of the body motions. On this occasion, even when no body motion is detected in one arbitrary body motion detection period, the body motions are counted if a body motion is detected in the next body motion detection period. When no body motions are detected in either of at least two consecutive body motion detection periods, continuous detection of body motions is negated.
