PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a case for fishing rod that solves the conventional nonconformities, improves the usability and protects stored fishing rod.SOLUTION: In the fishing rod case in which a case is equipped with a shoulder belt, the case body is furnished with a reinforcing plate continuing in the peripheral direction of the case body and an opening part for taking in and taking out a fishing rod at the shoulder belt side. In the fishing rod case, the case body is equipped with a lid part having the extended lid part, the lid part is equipped with the shoulder belt.
