The present invention provides a dental prosthesis casting apparatus facilitating the determination of the optimum casting time, and a method for casting same. The apparatus for casting a dental prosthesis includes a casting ring filled with an investment material so as to form a cured mold, a wax pattern produced to have a dental prosthesis shape, which is accommodated in the investment material, and a cast from which the wax pattern is removed, into which a molten metal, in which a melting material is melted, is injected. The dental prosthesis casting apparatus facilitating the determination of the optimum casting time is characterized in that a receiving portion is formed inside the mold for receiving the melting material, and a concave accommodating portion is formed inside the receiving portion, having at least one injection port on the bottom surface thereof so that the molten metal can be filled therein. According to the present invention, optimum casting time can be determined when the melting material is completely melted and the melting material, flowing in a completely fluidic state, is filled into the accommodating portion.
