PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which has absorbency in an excretion part-facing part and flexibility in a rear part, can stably absorb without the breaking by being twisted when being worn, and can reliably prevent leakage in the back.SOLUTION: An absorbent article 1 is provided with an absorbent core 4 shaped to be long in a front-back direction of the absorbent article and has an excretion part-facing part B arranged to face a liquid excretion part of a wearer and a rear part C that is arranged in the back with respect to the excretion part-facing part. The absorbent core 4 has a front projecting region 41 in a central part in a width direction of the excretion part-facing part B and a rear projecting region 42 in a central part in a width direction of the rear part C. The front projecting region 41 and the rear projecting region 42 are respectively thicker than a thickness of a peripheral region 43 of the absorbent core and are respectively partitioned by groove parts 44, 47 extending in a width direction Y of the absorbent core to form a plurality of small absorbing parts 45, 48 aligned in a longitudinal direction X of the absorbent core 4.
