PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid supply apparatus and a liquid supply method capable of performing an appropriate amount of irrigation with simple and low cost equipment in a plant cultivation apparatus.SOLUTION: In liquid supply by a liquid supply apparatus that supplies liquid to a tray 3 from a plurality of nozzles 13 connected to a water supply pipe 12 extending transversely along a cultivation rack of a plant cultivation apparatus, supply of liquid from the upstream region 12a of the water supply pipe 12 is started. Then, the flow rate of the liquid flowing through the water supply pipe 12 of an upstream region 12a is measured by a flow meter 15. The number of the nozzles 13 discharging the liquid, which are in an open state, is determined from the measured flow rate.
