The object of the present invention is a new anhydrous polymorphic crystalline form of sodium hyodeoxycholate (NaHDC) named as form II (FII) and the process for preparing it. Such a process makes it possible to obtain sodium hyodeoxycholate in the anhydrous polymorphic form II (FII), with high chemical and polymorphic purity. The invention also describes the anhydrous polymorphic crystalline forms of NaHDC named as form I (FI) and form III (FIII), the hydrated forms of NaHDC named as SI and SII, crystalline forms of NaHDC, respectively hydrated with four and eight water molecules and the amorphous form.L'objet de la présente invention est une nouvelle forme cristalline polymorphe anhydre de l'hyodésoxycholate de sodium (naHDC) dite forme II (FII) et son procédé de préparation. Ce procédé permet d'obtenir un hyodésoxycholate de sodium sous la forme polymorphe anhydre II (FII), à une pureté chimique et polymorphe élevée. L'invention concerne également les formes cristallines polymorphes anhydres du NaHDC dites forme I (FI) et forme III (FIII), les formes hydratées du NaHDC dites SI et SII, les formes cristallines du NaHDC, respectivement hydratées avec quatre et huit molécules d'eau et la forme amorphe.
