PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for accurately identifying a strawberry kind, regardless of cultivation conditions and preservation conditions, using seedlings, fruits or the like as a sample. SOLUTION: This method for identifying the strawberry kind comprises amplifying DNA using, as a mold, the extracted DNA from a calyx-having fruit and/or leaf of the strawberry, wherein the DNA is amplified by PCR method using, as a target, a base sequence different between the kinds of strawberries, and identifying polymorphism of the amplified DNA and polymorphism produced by digestion of the amplified DNA by a restriction enzyme.
