PURPOSE: An Oryza sativa-derivative zinc finger protein, OsZF2, and a gene thereof are provided to enhance expression in a callus and grain and to improve rice plant salt tolerance. CONSTITUTION: In a zinc finger protein, OsZF2 has an amino acid sequence of sequence number 1. An OsZF2 DNA molecule contains a polynucleotide encoded with the amino acid of sequence number 1. A recombinant vector contains polynucleotide OsZF2. A transformed host cell is obtained by transforming the polynucleotide OxZF2 with the recombinant vector. The plant is Oryza sativa.
