A fibre-reinforced product comprises a tubular- or bar-shaped body (12) of solid or hollow cross-section on which a first layer of fibre rovings (14) is placed with the rovings running parallel to each other along the body axis to form a first section (41) and then a second section (42) in which they are at a first angle ( alpha ) to the body axis. Preferably, a second roving layer (16) placed on the body (12) includes a fourth section (64) integrated with the first section (41) parallel to the body (12) axis and a fifth section (65) at the same first angle ( alpha ) to the axis as the second section (42), though angled to the other side of the axis so that the roving layers (14, 16) in the second (42) and fifth sections (65) form either a woven or non-woven network. The first roving layer (14) continues from the second section (42) to form a third section (43) parallel to the body (12) axis and the second roving layer (16) forms a sixth section (66) integrated with and parallel to the third section. The first (41) and third sections (43) are aligned towards each other with the angled second section (42) between them. Both roving layers (14, 16) may be externally covered in a transparent material.
