PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antimicrobial agent and an antimicrobial agent composition, having excellent safety and effective antimicrobial activity against wide microorganisms, and usable for wide applications.SOLUTION: The antimicrobial agent composition contains a polyhydric alcohol-based antimicrobial agent and a silver-based antimicrobial agent, and preferably, is a solution containing the polyhydric alcohol-based antimicrobial agent and the silver-based antimicrobial agent.
