Provided is a method for treating or preventing the spread of seed associated diseases within a population of seedlings. The method includes providing the seedlings with an amount of a formulation obtained from at least a first component and a second component. The first component may include particulate matter holding one or more natural oils. The second component may include a bacterial cocktail of at least two antagonistic bacteria. Further provided is a package including the first component, the second components and instructions for performing the method.
