Disclosed is an innovative method for the production of crosslinked polysaccharides which have the characteristic of maintaining the shape of the original solid matrix, and are therefore called shape-memory polysaccharides. The process according to the invention involves crosslinking at least one water-soluble polysaccharide, in particular hyaluronic acid and hyaluronans, chondroitin, chondroitin sulphate and chitosan, with at least one polyfunctional epoxy crosslinking agent, operating in a biphasic system consisting of the polysaccharide matrix, which always remains in the solid state throughout the crosslinking process, and a non-solvent system for the polysaccharide. The materials obtained by the process according to the invention are insoluble in aqueous systems and maintain their original shape after hydration. The process according to the invention is particularly important in -the preparation of crosslinked shape-memory polysaccharides for clinical applications and in the field of aesthetic medicine.La présente invention concerne un procédé innovant pour la production de polysaccharides réticulés qui possèdent la caractéristique de conserver la forme de la matrice solide originale, et sont donc appelés polysaccharides à mémoire de forme. Le procédé selon l'invention met en œuvre la réticulation d'au moins un polysaccharide hydrosoluble, en particulier l'acide hyaluronique et des hyaluronanes, la chondroïtine, le sulfate de chondroïtine et le chitosane, avec au moins un agent de réticulation époxy polyfonctionnel, fonctionnant dans un système biphasique constitué de la matrice de polysaccharide, qui reste toujours à l'état solide tout au long du processus de réticulation, et un système non-solvant pour le polysaccharide. Les matériaux obtenus par le procédé selon l'invention sont insolubles dans des systèmes aqueux et conservent leur forme originale après hydratation.
