PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase an absorption speed by quickly absorbing body fluid to an absorber side from a surface side and to make it hard for the body fluid to backflow onto the surface sheet side without causing spilling of polymer particles or the like or degradation of the touch to the skin.SOLUTION: In a sanitary towel 1 where an absorber 4 is mediated between a liquid-permeable surface sheet 3 and a non liquid-permeable rear surface sheet 2, many open holes 10, 10... that go from a skin surface side of the liquid-permeable surface sheet 3 through to a non-skin surface side of the absorber 4 are formed. The open holes 10 are formed in the way that an opening area on the non-skin side is larger than an open hole area on the skin side.
