PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing rod which can be surely held by a rod holder while allowing a fisher to easily remove the fishing rod from the rod holder.SOLUTION: A fishing rod 10 includes a fishing rod body 13 and a ferrule 21 provided to a rear end of the fishing rod body 13 and on which a groove 26 opening of a surface 22 is formed. The groove 26 extends in a width direction 101. The groove 26 extends from one end to the other end of the width direction 101 of the ferrule 21. A bottom face 29 of the groove 26 is made up of faces 29A, 29B. The face 29A is a plane face formed on other region than both ends of the width direction 101 of the bottom face 29.
