PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the real distance on the fundus oculi based on a captured fundus oculi image by acquiring information on a photographing magnification even if a design value of the fundus photographic device is uncertain.
SOLUTION: This method for acquiring real distance on fundus oculi based on the fundus oculi image acquired by the fundus photographic device having a photographing optical system with an image pickup element, is provided with steps for: preparing model eyes having indicators and different diopters photographing respective model eyes and acquiring indicator images acquiring the photographing magnification on the image pickup element based on the indicator image finding a scale variable of the photographing optical system to the diopter for every model eye based on the photographing magnification and a distance from a lens principal point of the model eye to the indicator and setting a function of the scale variable to each diopter of the photographing optical system based on the result. The actual range of the measurement point set on the captured fundus oculi image is acquired based on the function and the optical characteristics of the patients eye.
