PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a milking unit which illuminates the vicinity of a milking operators hand and a cows udder so that the milking operator can perform the milking work safety and efficiently even in a gloomy cowhouse.SOLUTION: A milking unit 3 which is attached to an udder Cn of a domestic animal to perform miking includes an illuminating device L illuminating the udder Cn at a withdrawal rope 3k.
