PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a milking unit which illuminates the vicinity of a milking operators hand and a cows udder so that the milking operator can perform the milking work safety and efficiently.SOLUTION: A milking unit 3 which is attached to an udder Cn of a domestic animal to perform miking includes an illuminating device L illuminating the underside of the udder Cn at a teat cup part 3t.
