The staple cartridge includes a deck, a plurality of staples, and at least one compressible mechanism. The deck faces the anvil. Staples are positioned in a plurality of staple openings formed in the deck. At least one compressible mechanism extends toward the anvil. At least one compressible mechanism is positioned along the outer region of the deck.
