PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for accomplishing fluid pressure-driven bristle tuft movement within the desired frequency range of 100-300 Hz.SOLUTION: A dental cleaning appliance includes an appliance body 30, which has a bristle field housing 32 and fluid within the housing. A flexible membrane 34 is positioned within the housing, or in a liquid-tight relationship within an opening in the housing.
