To provide a packaging material for rice processed food which has films capable of being torn at a welded part where films are superposed, and is capable of preventing breakage of sheet-like food as much as possible by eliminating and when opening overlapping of the films and sheet-like food.
SOLUTION: The packaging material for rice processed food includes an inner film constituted separable in the width direction and an outer film superposed ON the inner film via the sheet-like food and while the inner film and outer film are mutually welded so that the welded parts extending in a longitudinal direction orthogonal to the width direction at both the sides of the sheet-like food are formed. The welded parts are formed in a linear state extending in the longitudinal direction while the outer film has a linear thin-walled portion formed ON the welded part and the thin-walled portion being thinner-walled than its vicinity area.
