The present disclosure relates to computer-aided retrieval of image slices. In some implementations, an image slice having a detected finding (and representing a cross-section of at least a portion of an individual) can be determined. The search space can be reduced to a subset of image slices each representing a slice corresponding to the slice represented by the determined image slice. Reducing the search space may include filtering the set of image slices based on the cross-section represented by the determined image slices. Image slice information related to the determined image slice and one or more related image slices (of the image slice subset) may be obtained based on the reduction of the search space.
