PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for applying electric current to a neuromuscular system.SOLUTION: The apparatus is in a form of a garment (to be worn on a thigh of a user) and has an integrated programmable stimulation device including integral electronics, an LCD display, a switch for the user, and a battery. The garment is configured to position above the patella to secure positioning of the garment exactly and repeatedly. Further, reference lines are provided on the skin-facing-side surface for helping the user to place skin-engaging electrodes. The invention provides a safe and advantageous means for electrically stimulating the quadriceps muscle of a patient, no matter how the size is, while minimizing a risk for an error in the combinations.
