Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines antimikrobiell wirkenden Kunststoffproduktes, welches als antimikrobiell wirkendes Mittel teilreduziertes Silberorthophosphat enthält. Bei dem Verfahren wird Silberorthophosphat aus wässriger Lösung durch Umsetzung eines Hydrogenphosphats mit einem Silbersalz ausgefällt.
